A couple of weeks ago I ventured out to Huddleston, VA (just outside of Lynchburg) for an engagement session with one of my 2018 couples! Katalin and Douglas wanted to have their pictures take on their own land including Katalin’s home with a beautiful water garden built by her mom, the field where she and Douglas will get married and a little lake with a dock. We then ventured a few miles up the road to Douglas’ dad’s property where we captured an incredible sunset with their jeeps (swoon) and some farm life friends. We had hundreds of acres at our disposal. The craziest thing about it though, is that Katalin and Douglas lived the majority of their lives just a few miles apart and never knew it until they met at a mutual friends party. It turned out that each of their grandfathers had gone to high school with the others grandmother and were best friends. Now Katalin and Doug have single handedly brought these two families together again, and for good! Pretty cool, don’t you think?
I am so excited to capture their wedding this Fall. Katalin and Doug are the most down to earth, jeep loving, sweet southern couple. They both work hard and treat each other with such kindness. Katalin and I have been talking for months now about the details of their wedding from location to the dresses to the bouquet, and not only am I excited to document it all, but I am excited to be a part of a day that celebrates two great people. Congratulations on this sweet time in your life, Katalin and Doug! Thank you for choosing me to capture it all!
